The full Refinery process, in one post

A full breakdown of The Refinery, as a process for your Gold, Silver and Copper mining investments.
The solution for GSC equity investors is The Refinery. Designed to help GSC investors make measured investment decisions through a repeatable process.
There are four components within The Refinery.
1. Macro Funnel: making decision making streamlined, logical and repeatable
Nowadays, it's easy to gain access to an abundance of information; we have access to interviews, articles, reports, company updates, tweets, and transcribed meetings. A majority of this information will only serve to confuse and cause indecision. The solution to this problem is the Macro Funnel.
Within the Macro Funnel, sources move through a filter: source information breakdowns, an interpretation and implication stage and eventually a decision-making fork.
The beauty of this component of The Refinery comes from the journey from subjective input to tangible, objective outcome (watchlist, further research, monitor, reference, or no action)
Not every source needs to end in a trade. Some are worth logging simply because they sharpen your read on the sector. The point is that nothing sits in your head half-processed. It's either actioned or filed.
Once an asset clears the Funnel and earns a spot on your watchlist, you're ready for the next module.
2. TA Development Suite: test, improve and implement a timing framework into your GSC investing.
The TA Development Suite is where you build the system that tells you when to act on a watchlisted asset, using monthly chart data rather than short-term nonsense.
Three components define the framework: an Entry Trigger (when to buy or accumulate), an Entry Filter (a second condition that confirms or rejects that signal), and an Exit Trigger (when to sell or liquidate).
If you're new to building a system like this, start with the included example indicators and settings before customising. Building a reliable monthly-timeframe system is more straightforward than most investors expect, and the defaults are there to prove it, or act as benchmarks. If you're more experienced with technical systems, the suite is built to be adapted to your own setups.
3. Portfolio Frontend: size, track, and manage positions
Its all good having quality assets, and a system for timing your positioning. But what about managing these positions as they mature? What about protecting your downside? What about understanding your exposure on a portfolio level?
The Portfolio Frontend ties everything together. Here, you can accomplish all of these things, and more!
Within this component of The Refinery, you can house your entry, filter, and exit rules for reference, and enjoy a live dashboard to manage open positions.
Furthermore, there are built in Position sizing and take-profit targets are volatility-adjusted, scaled automatically to each subsector's risk profile rather than a flat rule applied across gold, silver, and copper alike. This aspect of position management works hand-in-hand with the TA Development Suite- built timing system, to ensure all exposure is tightly managed
The Live Position Dashboard is your monthly check-in: capital at risk, stop losses, price targets, and portfolio-wide allocation, all in one view.
Reference Handbook: the knowledge layer
The handbook is where you can access Terminology, definitions, and sector-specific context live here, so you're never stuck mid-process wondering what a term means or how a concept applies to mining equities specifically.
The path, start to finish
Log a source in the Macro Funnel and take it to a decision. Build your entry and exit rules in the TA Development Suite. Check your watchlist against those rules at the end of each month, on a trading day, using charting software like TradingView. When your entry rule triggers, use the Portfolio Frontend to size the position and set your levels. Manage it from there, monthly, with the Handbook on hand whenever you need it.
